Huda Mustafa has officially released her debut single, Bad Girls, closing out months of anticipation with what might end up being a genuine song of the summer contender. Most people know her as the breakout personality from Love Island USA season 7, the face behind memes like "I'm a mommy" and "Mamacita?" that dominated timelines last summer, but music has quietly been part of her identity long before the show.
From gym influencer to recording artist
Before Love Island, Mustafa was primarily known as a gym influencer, though she'd occasionally surprise followers with song covers that hinted at real vocal ability. The 25-year-old's debut arrives shortly after the end of her roughly nine-month relationship with Perfect Match star Louis Russell, and comes with a high-concept music video directed by Edgar Esteves, whose past collaborators include DJ Khaled and French Montana. The video sets Mustafa up as the CEO of "Huda HQ," a fictional fan-driven empire, built around sharp visuals and choreography, though it's her vocals that end up carrying the moment. An album is reportedly still to come.
