Christopher Nolan's adaptation of Homer's Odyssey arrived with a cast built to generate headlines on its own: Matt Damon as King Odysseus, alongside Anne Hathaway, Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson and Zendaya, all shot entirely on IMAX film cameras. But once the four-city press tour got underway, the fashion coverage started to rival the film itself, with a new archival gown or bespoke suit surfacing online every few days.

## An eight-hour relay for one dress

The behind-the-scenes logistics were, in at least one documented case, as dramatic as anything on screen. Zendaya's stylist Law Roach attended Schiaparelli's haute couture show in Paris, then flew straight to London with the freshly debuted gown so Zendaya could wear it on the red carpet just eight hours later, method dressing pushed to its literal limit.

## A finale two years in the making

Zendaya closed out the tour in a Matières Fécales Haute Couture gown called "The Ange," from the house's debut collection, paired with a heelless design from their collaboration with Christian Louboutin. The house explained the significance on Instagram, noting that Law Roach had asked them to save the dress for Zendaya nearly two years earlier: "We kept our promise and turned down so many great requests but knew this was the right fit for such an important creation in our archive." Between that and Hathaway's run of sophisticated maternity looks throughout the tour, the press circuit did as much to generate lasting fashion moments as any single premiere could have.
